Description

The name 'Gog Magog Hills' is taken from the hills upon which our farm lies. Some say that Gog Magog was the name of a legendary giant whose lair was in Wandlebury Ring, but the name is certainly not specific to the locality. There is doubt as to whether there was one giant or two. What is certain is that the name was not used before the sixteenth century and possibly the name was due to nothing more subtle than that the hills looked like slumbering giants and that Gog and Magog were familiar giant names. ... our bustling little food shop, tucked away on one of Cambridge's few hills.Although much of the food on sale is prepared on site, we pride ourselves in sourcing a great selection of the regions and nations finest food offerings, whether it is some wonderful Red Poll Beef from Cambridge or delightful Cotherstone Cheese from County Durham.
