We source exceptional award-winning meat and poultry from our own farm and the very best local farms.
The Garthwaite family farming enterprise includes three farms that supply the majority of the beef, lamb and pork for the farm shop shop. John, Mary and Matthew also work with other local farmers to ensure a consistent quality supply of locally reared beef, lamb and pork for the shop.

Complement your locally sourced fresh meat with sauces, condiments, artisan ingredients and flavours made in our own kitchens or from small producers and local suppliers. Fresh bread, cakes, biscuits and confectionary baked here every day.
Blacker Hall Farm Shop is a member of the Q Guild of Butchers. This elite group of butchers is the top 1% in the UK and is strictly audited by EFSIS on both quality and hygiene to achieve the accreditation.
We mature our choice beef cuts on the bone for a minimum of 21 days to ensure richness of flavour and tenderness. Our expert butchers can advise you of cuts, cooking advice and recipe suggestions.
